Klaipėda Ernests Galvanauskas Vocational Training Centre participates as a partner in the implementation of the project "Development of the Lithuanian Qualifications System. Phase I", project code 09.4.1-ESFA-V-734-01-0001.
The project is implemented by the Centre for the Development of Qualifications and Vocational Training together with partners - associated business structures (Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, Lithuanian Confederation of Employers, Lithuanian Business Confederation) and Klaipėda Ernests Galvanauskas Vocational Training Centre.
The aim of the project is to develop modern content for vocational training and adult education on the basis of the Lithuanian Qualifications Framework, to develop new vocational standards and modular vocational training programmes, to implement them and to develop interactive e-learning tools.
The Centre is the partner in this project responsible for the development and implementation of vocational training programmes at VTCS level V.
The following programmes are expected to be developed during the project period at LTQS level V:
Once these vocational training programmes have been developed, it is envisaged to organise the selection and assessment of persons wishing to follow modular programmes at LTQF level V, to assess their experience, to train them on the basis of the programmes developed and to award them the qualification of "Master" at LTQF level V.
The Centre cooperates closely with the Lithuanian Builders' Association, Lithuanian higher education institutions, and companies in the Western Lithuania region.
During the project implementation period, roundtables (public consultations) are organised to discuss the draft programmes with interested organisations and individuals in order to receive suggestions and recommendations, to find solutions to problems that are satisfactory to all stakeholders, to share good practices and to promote the participation of social partners in the process of developing modular VET programmes and their learning tools.
The results of the project will help to solve the current problems in the development of the Lithuanian qualifications system, create preconditions for faster economic and social development of the country, promote lifelong learning, increase the relevance and attractiveness of vocational training and adult education to the labour market needs.
