Project partners: the Alytus Vocational Training Centre; the Kėdainiai Vocational Training Centre; the Smalininkai School of Technology and Business; the Ukmergė School of Technology and Business; the Raseiniai School of Technology and Business; and the Plungė School of Technology and Business.
The aim of the project is to increase the relevance and attractiveness of vocational and adult training to the needs of the labour market through the provision of practical skills in the workplace and in a sectoral practical training centre.
Planned results: the project is expected to provide the following training in the Sectoral Vocational Training Centre: 75 trainees in the Modular Vocational Training Programme for the Driver of Motor Vehicles for the Carriage of Goods, 5 trainees in the programme Initial Qualification for the Carriage of Goods (Code 95) on a fast-track basis, and 10 trainees in the Vocational Programme for the International Transport Driver as a Forwarder. The project promotes the acquisition of practical skills through training in a sectoral practical training centre, smoother transition from learning to work, better employability, closer cooperation between education and business, and a better match between the supply and demand of skilled workers. The project contributes to promoting the acquisition of practical skills by increasing the relevance and attractiveness of vocational training to labour market needs.
