Project “Modernisation of the dormitory at 18 Baltijos pr.”, Nr. 13.1.2-VIPA-T-113-02-0049

Klaipėda Ernests Galvanauskas Vocational Training Centre signed a contract in August 2020 for the European Union Structural Funds co-financed project " Modernisation of the dormitory at 18 Baltijos Ave. ", No 13.1.2-VIPA-T-113-02-0049, within the framework of the Measure 04.3.1-VIPA-T-113 of the Operational Programme, Renovation of State-Owned Buildings (II).

The Klaipėda Vocational Training Centre of Ernests Galvanauskas, which provides vocational training, is faced with the problem of not being able to provide adequate accommodation services. The dormitory run by the training centre is in a poor state of repair, worn out and has not been renovated once in 50 years.

In order to solve this problem, the Training Centre has set a project goal - to improve the living conditions of students in the dormitory of Klaipėda Ernests Galvanauskas Vocational Training Centre.

To achieve this, the dormitory was renovated, i.e. by insulating the ground floor, the basement slab and the façade of the building.

The Training Centre is pleased that the successful implementation of the project has led to the following results:

reduced heating costs, thus reducing greenhouse gas (CO2) emissions;
ensuring that the building's infrastructure complies with hygiene standards;
Increased energy efficiency in buildings, achieving energy performance class B.

Project period: from August 2020 to August 2022.
