Project “Improving the practical training base for the engineering industry”

Klaipėda ERNESTAS GALVANAUSKAS Vocational Training Centre together with the project partner Klaipėda Shipbuilding and Repair School successfully implemented the project "Improvement of the practical training facilities in the engineering industry sector" No VP3-2.2-ŠMM-13-V-03-025, under the Cohesion Promotion Operational Programme 2007-2013 Priority 2 "Quality and accessibility of public services: health, education and social infrastructure" Measure VP3-2.2-ŠMM-13-V "Development of vocational training infrastructure".

The aim of the project is to improve learners' preparation for practice and to enable teachers to continuously improve their qualifications. To upgrade the school's practical training facilities and to purchase the latest equipment for training welders and metalworkers.

The project has established a practical training centre for the engineering industry at the Klaipėda Shipbuilding and Repair School. This has created the conditions for the training of highly qualified specialists, and the facilities meet the requirements and expectations of businesses, which is expected to result in an increase in the number of customers for continuing training.

The Sectoral Practical Training Centre can provide practical training for students from other training institutions, and its establishment promotes cooperation between those working in different training institutions, the dissemination of experience, joint training, and the development of training programmes for the labour market.
