Klaipėda Ernests Galvanauskas Vocational Training Centre has successfully implemented a 24-month Erasmus+: Leonardo da Vinci KA1 funded mobility project "PRACTICE IN EU COUNTRIES", project No. 2014-1-LT01-KA102-000263.
This project had two objectives:
We hope that the exchange, discussion and sharing of good practices will encourage students to be motivated to deepen their knowledge and to pursue lifelong learning and development. Exposure to methods, practices and technologies used in other countries has increased employability. Massage therapists shared their experience by organising a discussion for the Klaipėda PMRC community. The project aimed to stimulate the students' curiosity and willingness to improve their skills by adopting best practices of other countries in the work of a masseur.

The Centre's professionals have noticed that students are increasingly interested in health promotion and conservation. Students lack knowledge about stress management, balanced nutrition, physical activity and other similar issues. The staff of the Centre cannot provide professional answers to the questions of the pupils, as they also lack knowledge, both in designing healthy lifestyle programmes and in communicating them to the pupils.
To address these challenges, the project took 13 staff members to different EU countries such as Estonia, Sweden, Germany, Malta and Greece.
The staff undertook 5 working days of practice and observation to learn about the concept of healthy lifestyles in the participating countries, the Healthy Lifestyles Modular Curriculum, its development and implementation. They acquired theoretical and practical knowledge on healthy lifestyles. Learn how to carry out a personal, group or community, healthy lifestyle and physical activity and behaviour change programme. Learn how healthy lifestyle programmes are implemented in other EU countries. Learn how to provide advice on healthy lifestyles.
After returning from their visits, the project participants developed a Healthy Lifestyle Module; Healthy Lifestyle Booths; organised educational activities among other vocational schools; organised a sports event - physical activity; and organised a seminar on healthy lifestyles.
